What made you want to pursue a career in sport?
I grew up in a very sporty family and was always surrounded by different sports. That exposure made me interested in the industry beyond just being a player and in the people and work happening behind the scenes. I’ve never wanted a boring job, and I love that sport is constantly evolving. It’s also an industry filled with driven, passionate people who know how to work hard while still appreciating the fun of sport.
What do you love most about working at SAPA?
In the short time I’ve been at SAPA, I’ve really enjoyed the breadth of work I’ve been exposed to. It’s pretty cool to be involved behind the scenes and then see that work come to life across the sporting landscape. I also love the passion of the team. Everyone works hard, but we can also step back and appreciate the impact of the work we’re involved in.
What do you do day to day in your role?
In my day-to-day role, I support the wider SAPA team with internal operations and coordination to help ensure clients and projects are delivered smoothly.
It’s a varied role, which means no two days are exactly the same!
What do you enjoy doing in your spare time outside of work?
As a relatively new Melbourne resident, when I’m not in the middle of footy season, I love going for a run and exploring what the city has to offer.
I’m also a big foodie, so trying new restaurants and wine bars takes up a lot of my weekends!

What is your favourite sporting moment all-time?
As a soccer player growing up watching the Matildas, I can’t go past them reaching the semi-finals in the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup.
Watching the whole country get behind the Matildas was incredibly special, and Courtney Vine’s winning penalty against France was an unforgettable moment for me and for women’s sport in Australia.

What’s one piece of advice you’d give to someone looking to enter the sporting industry?
Sport offers such a wide range of career opportunities, and once you get your foot in the door, you quickly realise how many different roles help make the industry work. My advice would be to say yes to opportunities to connect and learn, as you never know where an opportunity might lead you.
