The Rugby Union Players' Association
Reviewed the Rugby Agent Accreditation Scheme.
SAPA was engaged by the Rugby Union Players Association (RUPA), in partnership with Rugby Australia (RA), to undertake an independent review of the Australian Rugby Player Agent Accreditation Scheme.
The review involved extensive stakeholder engagement via surveys, interviews and workshops, as well as in-depth analysis of the current Scheme and comparative systems. It focused on areas such as accreditation requirements, agent education and development, stakeholder collaboration, enforcement mechanisms, and young player protections.
The final report delivered comprehensive recommendations across five key pillars, including improvements to governance and oversight, the introduction of a Continuing Professional Development framework, amplified compliance measures, holistic support for players, and structured stakeholder engagement protocols.
