- SAPA has been engaged by AFL Masters Incorporated (AFLM) and its Board to undertake an independent legal and governance review.
- Through research and data collection, SAPA has completed an overall legal and governance review as a part of the project work set by the AFLM.
- SAPA is confident that the key recommendations outlined in the report will increase the respect, understanding and collaboration amongst key AFLM stakeholders.
SAPA was engaged by AFL Masters (AFLM) and its Board, supported by its member states and territories to undertake an independent legal and governance review based on best practice minimum standards.
SAPA was engaged by AFL Masters (AFLM) and its Board, supported by its member states and territories to undertake an independent legal and governance review based on best practice minimum standards.
The report provided:
1. Best practice report outlining the current maturity levels of AFLM legal and governance structures, policies and procedures based on relevant laws and the Australian Sport Commission’s Sports Governance Standards.
2. Key recommendations in relation to areas to be addressed and improved.
3. Drive increased stakeholder engagement, collaboration and trust.
4. Protect the interests of AFL Masters and help set it up for sustainable long-term success.
